Really needs to be seperate reviews for the different types of scanners offered above The CHS 7mi and CHS 7pi are faster scanners, they have the class 2 lasers that scan in the sun, dark, tight barcodes, ect….. The 7ci is a image scanner, therefore slower and doesn’t read ISBN codes very well. When you are looking at the tech, the both say 1D, but the 7Ci does NOT have the class 2 laser. When you are scanning very large inventory and want a fast pace, the mi or pi will handle it fast and efficient, the 7ci will not, it will be slower and will slow you down. Also, The…

Perfect, except… I bought this to use with our Square POS system on an iPad. From the Point of Sale screen, we can scan a UPC code and have the item added to an order, which is great. A typical scanner cannot do this.HOWEVER – it will not also scan into a text field. A typical scanner will, however, making it necessary for us to have 2 scanners at the register.We have employees who will make a purchase and have it taken out of their next paycheck. Little item for big work This item is fantastic. I do arts and crafts shows and have developed bar codes for my inventory in Square Store. Rather than having to price each item with a tag or looking it up all I need to do is point and shoot and it is registered. Several of my customers at the show thought it was great since I was the only one with a scanner. Size is great also.
